How are we all? don’t you think that the weather has been fab of late! you can tell it is coming to Spring and that only gets my heart tingling (not that it can tingle) for warmer weather and less clothes HORAHH!
I have brought together my favourite lipsticks at the moment that I am wearing for various occasions, so Im first going to review my Illamasqua black lipstick from Selfridges.
Name of Lipstick: Pristine (Illamasqua)
The texture of this lipstick is so soft and creamy ( I found this with my faves atm), it certainly makes for a bold and exciting look. I wore this colour to fashion weekend and the image is on my Instagram < if you want to see the finished product. What I loved about this lipstick is that it lasted ALLL day without me having to touch up and I was amazed. I was constantly asking my friend if it was still there and not vanishing and she never failed to tell me that it was still looking fab and bold (RESULT). I wanted a lipstick that I would not need to touch up continuously because I hardly had time to look in a mirror and my bag was to small to even carry a decent amount of touch-up make-up so I was so pleased with the result. I did not wear any base underneath the lipstick apart from my vaseline tin for moisture but the lovely girl at the counter told me you can apply a black eye or lip pencil underneath for any added depth but I found I didn’t need it.
Name of Lipstick: Hug Me (M.A.C)
I have had this lipstick for a while as I wanted a colour that could be worn day and night! What I wanted was to add a subtle colour to my lips for the day time and this gorgeous creamy beige was perfect (it smells like sweets as well hehe), I do find myself constantly licking my lips because it tastes so good but the creamy texture lasts on my lips for a good few hours without needing a touch up. I would definitely recommend (IN MY OPINION) to apply a vaseline base first because after a while I found my lips were quite dry so just to lock in that extra moisture go for it.
Name of Lipstick: Hang Up (M.A.C)
This glossy purple lipstick is perfect for a night out! the dark illusion it gives off makes my lips stand out even more. I was all over dark shades in the Autumn and Winter and I do hope to transgress into brighter colours as SS14 comes around but the lipstick is perfect. The glossy feel means that I am able to glide the lipstick on my lips with ease and it often covers all my lips in the first coverage, as some of you girls will know that you have to get in the nuts and crannies of the mouth for your full lip to be covered but the shape of the actual lipstick makes it v.v. easy for application.
Name of Lipstick: Ruby Woo (M.A.C)
I remember when everyone was going mental for this matte red and M.A.C. were constantly sold out (so frustrating) but I finally got hold of this colour when the hype had died down haha. But i do see what everyone was going mental for the matte finish is absolutely gorgeous and sits perfectly on my skin. The red lip never goes out of fashion and it will always ooze class and sophistication so it is definitely worth investing in if you haven’t already! It was one of the first colours that I brought and i haven’t regretted going with this effortless shade of red. I may go gloss red next who knows!.
